Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist (CDI) - Registered Nurse

Rome Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist - RN, to support our Health Information Management Team. Reporting into the Director of Health Information Management, the Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist - RN will utilize advanced clinical and coding expertise to direct efforts toward the integrity of clinical documentation through the roles of review, educator, and consultant.

They will facilitate the overall quality, completeness, accuracy, quality of care, severity of illness, risk of mortality, and integrity of medical record documentation to support correct coding, reimbursement, and quality initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate in Nursing required, BSN preferred. Must be licensed in NYS.

5 years clinical experience in an acute care inpatient setting

Prior experience with clinical documentation improvement strongly preferred

Comfortable performing in an education role working closely with healthcare providers

Comfortable operating independently in a collaborate environment

Must be savvy navigating clinical documentation improvement software (CDE One)
