The role you’ll contribute\:
Responsible for designing, planning, and executing initiatives and processes for Clinical Documentation Integrity. This position provides education, guidance, and direction to Clinical Documentation Specialists, including software training and support for ongoing system use. Additionally, this role participates in auditing newly implemented workflows to monitor compliance and provides process improvement recommendations. In addition, this position collaborates within the Clinical Documentation Integrity teams to ensure the successful implementation of documentation applications and solutions. This role provides expertise on system use specific to documentation integrity and offers feedback and recommendations to promote process improvement initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance.
The value you’ll bring to the team\:
Develops, produces, and delivers ongoing training for Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), including new hire training, preceptor programs, and additional education as needed.
Audits new CDI members during their 90-day probationary period, providing written and verbal updates to the CDI Manager/team leads and CDI Director, and offers additional education based on audit results.
Audits Clinical Documentation Specialists' concurrent cases to identify missed documentation opportunities. Reviews and revises CDI policies and job descriptions annually or as needed.
Identifies community resources and coordinates education opportunities for CDI staff, including webinars and continuing education.
Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Clinical Documentation in Revenue Cycle or Quality-related projects. Provides train-the-trainer, super-user, and end-user training on Cerner and Iodine solutions, offering follow-up support both on-site and remotely.
