Our take on this role

About this role

Monitor clinical research sites through selection, initiation, routine monitoring, and closeout visits, checking compliance and study records. The role requires at least one year of independent on-site monitoring experience in a CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical setting.

What could you bring from clinical work?

  • Nurses: Checking protocol compliance and escalating safety concerns could help you evaluate research-site compliance and raise quality concerns.
  • PTs: Your experience collecting clinical outcomes and checking documentation accuracy may help with monitoring study data collection and resolving queries.
  • OTs and SLPs: Teaching standardized assessment procedures and checking understanding could help you provide protocol and study-specific training to research-site staff.
  • Social workers: If you've identified participation barriers and coordinated engagement, that experience could help you support patient recruitment and retention at research sites.
