The Communications Specialist plays a key role in content development crafting messaging that speaks to patients, board members, staff, donors, key stakeholders, and the wider community in a way that keeps everyone informed and inspired. This includes managing public relations efforts, social media strategy, optimizing web content and website management, email marketing campaigns, and newsletters to drive engagement and awareness of Northern Nevada HOPES. The role also involves grassroots outreach efforts, such as community tours, community outreach, collateral distribution, and presentations. The Communications Specialist plays a key role in garnering stories to support marketing and donor initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Program/Project Development and Support
  • Donor Stewardship

    • Understanding of who our donors are and provide them with an excellent customer service experience
    • Ability to identify and connect fundraising opportunities with media and community partners
    • In partnership with the Philanthropy team, develop materials and share content to recognize donors
