Leidos QTC Health Services seeks an HR Communications Specialist to join our Communications team dedicated to supporting Human Resources initiatives. This role partners closely with HR leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute internal communications that support HR programs, policies, and employee engagement efforts. The position ensures HR-related messaging is clear, timely, and aligned with broader organizational priorities while maintaining structured communication planning and delivery across internal channels.

Preferred work location is Leidos Global HQ in Reston, VA or San Antonio, TX.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communications plans for HR initiatives and programs.
  • Serve as communications liaison between HR and the Communications team.
  • Review HR project plans and align communications strategies to support change efforts.
  • Coordinate and publish recurring HR communications (newsletters, updates, announcements).
  • Maintain integrated HR communications calendar and manage 14–30 day messaging pipeline.
  • Facilitate recurring HR-sponsored meetings and coordinate related communications materials.
  • Support HR-related executive messaging coordination (CEO/CHRO communications).
  • Manage HR content within internal channels (e.g., intranet/Prism).
  • Track deliverables and ensure timely completion of assigned communications tasks.
  • Lead communications efforts for employee engagement initiatives.

Required Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. Equivalent in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • 4 years of experience in internal communications, HR communications, or related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive HR information.
  • Comfort facilitating meetings and managing communication cadence.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a structured communications function.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting organizational change initiatives.
  • Familiarity with internal communications platforms and analytics tools.

This role may fall under the Service Contract Act (SCA), a federal law which provides for a U.S. Department of Labor-prescribed minimum prevailing rate of pay and certain benefit levels.
