Who We Are
Sponsored Research Services (SRS) is a consortium of research administrators supporting Texas A&M University System members. We provide efficient and superior research administration services to members of The Texas A&M University System in Brazos County, Galveston and Qatar. SRS teams work with stakeholders to provide expertise and assistance with proposal submissions, in negotiation of external contracts, and in project administration throughout the life of the award. What We Want
Sponsored Research Services is seeking a Research Reporting and Audit Coordinator who will support comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts while assisting with audit coordination activities across the department. This position is responsible for gathering and interpreting data from multiple sources, preparing clear and accurate reports, and presenting historical and comparative trends to diverse audiences. The successful candidate will also collaborate with the senior analyst to serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors, helping schedule audit work, prepare documentation, and support management responses to audit observations. We seek to hire an individual who values accuracy, clarity, and collaboration, and who can translate complex technical information into accessible insights for stakeholders with varying levels of expertise. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Detail oriented and high degree of accuracy.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in accounting, information technology, Business Analytics, Data Science, Programming, or similar field.
Experience with Informatica, Tableau, Cognos and Power BI
Strong statistical, analytical and comprehension skills.
Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Visio, SAP Web Intelligence (Business Objects), FAMIS, and/or Maestro.
Knowledge of applications used at Texas A&M University, which may include Maestro, FAMIS, Canopy, Business Objects, AggieBuy, Laserfiche, and Workday
Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis - Collects and tallies data from various sources. Manipulates data and calculations for better representation and understanding. Analyzes and interprets data using accepted statistical methods and qualitative research methods. Compiles data into usable reports. Prepares and presents historical and comparative data.
Audit Coordination - Assist the senior analyst with serving as the point of contact for internal and external auditors. Work with auditors to schedule audit work. Attend entrance and exit meetings. Prepare data populations. Provide requested documentation. Assist senior analyst in the department of management response to audit observations.
Reporting and Presentation - Responds to requests for information and prepares ad-hoc reports and query analyses in desired formats. Prepares, maintains, and presents historical and comparative data to illustrate trends and patterns. Delivers technical information, insights, and findings in an easily digestible manner for audiences of varying technical expertise. Prepares and presents technical information as educational material for non-technically trained audiences at a variety of public forums. Perform steps to promote the accuracy of the research reports produced such as comparing year-over-year results and validating results with stakeholders. Assists in planning and executing projects, focusing on creative implementation under supervision. Assist senior analyst in the department of management response to audit observations.
