The Supervisor Utilization Review is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations of the department by managing staffing, overseeing workflows and systems, maintaining compliance, and stepping in to provide coverage when needed. This position centers on developing a high‑performing team through coaching, performance management, conflict resolution, recognition, and active engagement, while also supporting hiring, onboarding, and evaluations. They will monitor key metrics, conduct audits, resolve performance issues, and implement process improvements to maintain efficient, accurate work.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

  • 3+ years\: Experience in Utilization Review, Revenue Cycle or Healthcare (Required)

  • Oversee daily department operations, including scheduling, task assignment, workflow monitoring, and maintaining consistent coverage.

  • Manage administrative processes such as system access approvals, payroll edits, and PTO requests while ensuring policy compliance.

  • Step in to provide direct operational support as needed to maintain efficiency and continuity.

  • Monitor productivity, quality, and performance metrics; conduct audits and address gaps or issues promptly.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff through training, feedback, performance management, and engagement activities.

  • Lead workforce management efforts including hiring support, onboarding, goal setting, and performance evaluations (with approval).

  • Foster a positive, high-performing team culture by recognizing achievements, resolving conflicts, and reinforcing accountability.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership competencies, including communication, organization, problem-solving, collaboration, and adherence to core values.
