In this role, you will shape how critical manufacturing and facility assets perform across their entire lifecycle—helping ensure reliable operations that ultimately support the delivery of life‑changing medicines. As an Asset Lifecycle Specialist, you will partner across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define smart lifecycle strategies while ensuring compliance with both process and calibration requirements. You will also play a key role in helping the site transition to the Lean Digital Core by strengthening asset data, enabling maintenance integration, and supporting digital‑ready systems. Through this work, you will directly influence safety, regulatory compliance, asset reliability, and long‑term value. Job Description Key Responsibilities Own manufacturing and facility assets across the full lifecycle, from design and qualification through decommissioning Define and execute asset lifecycle strategies to optimize reliability, availability, and total cost of ownership Create and maintain Sensor Risk Assessments to ensure accurate operating ranges and calibration requirements Develop asset management plans addressing replacement, recapitalization, and obsolescence risk Maintain accurate asset data and lifecycle documentation within CMMS and engineering systems Analyze equipment performance and failure data to identify trends and continuous improvement opportunities Support the site’s Lean Digital Core transition and enable maintenance system integration Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred; associate degree considered with 3+ years of relevant experience Experience managing manufacturing or facility assets across the full lifecycle in a regulated environment Hands‑on experience with commissioning and qualification of equipment and systems Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements within a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting Experience maintaining asset data within a computerized maintenance management system or similar engineering systems Demonstrated ability to analyze equipment performance, failure data, and maintenance trends to drive improvements Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams Desirable Requirements Experience supporting Good Manufacturing Practice production environments, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry, with aseptic manufacturing experience preferred Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and supporting Lean Digital Core transition initiatives, including preparing systems for maintenance integration Salary Transparency The pay range for this position is expected to be between $98,700 and $183,300 per year. The final salary offered will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and geographic location, and will be reviewed periodically upon joining Novartis. Novartis may adjust the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance‑based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
