Your day as a Case Management/Utilization Review RN

As a new Case Management/Utilization Review RN at Southwest Health System, Inc., you can expect an engaging and rewarding day-to-day experience. Your mornings will kick off with a review of patient cases, assessing and coordinating care plans tailored to individual needs. You’ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure seamless communication and patient support. Throughout your day, anticipate conducting thorough utilization reviews, evaluating the necessity and efficiency of treatments while advocating for patient-centered care.

You'll also participate in multidisciplinary meetings, providing input on patient progress and discharge planning. With a focus on empathetic service, your schedule will be Day Shift, allowing you to balance work and personal life while contributing to a collaborative and customer-focused environment. Are you the Case Management/Utilization Review RN we're looking for?

To excel as a Case Management/Utilization Review RN at Southwest Health System, Inc., you will need a blend of both clinical acumen and interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment are essential, enabling you to assess patient needs and make informed decisions about care plans. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be crucial for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients about their treatment options. Empathy and compassion are vital, as you will engage with patients and their families, ensuring they feel supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Time management skills will empower you to prioritize tasks and handle multiple cases efficiently, while a keen attention to detail will ensure accurate documentation and adherence to best practices. A customer-centric mindset is essential, as you will advocate for patients and navigate the complexities of healthcare with professionalism and integrity.

Regulatory/Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of Colorado.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • One (1) year of work experience in a health care setting working directly with adult, pediatric or geriatric patients. 3-5 years' experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources, experience in public/community health preferred.

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Strong communication skills.
