The Credentialing Coordinator supports the Medical Staff Office in managing the credentialing and reappointment process for providers. This role is responsible for coordinating application workflows, performing primary source verifications, maintaining provider records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
The coordinator works closely with department leadership, committees, and external agencies to facilitate timely review and approval of provider credentials. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information are essential.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Prior experience in credentialing, medical staff services, or healthcare administration preferred
Working knowledge of credentialing standards and regulatory/accreditation requirements (e.g., TJC, DOH) preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with credentialing systems (e.g., MD-Staff) preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with departments, providers, and leadership
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow established policies and procedures
