Utilize motivational interviewing and other trauma-informed, solution-focused strategies to strength client engagement and support goal attainment.
Help eligible clients obtain public benefits through Texas Health & Human Services (i.e. Medicaid/CHIP, SNAP, WIC, TANF) by completing applications directly with clients or referring to the Benefits Team when appropriate.
Recognize client safety concerns and connect clients to appropriate community resources and crisis services.

Emergency Rental & Utility Assistance Management
Take and review applications for emergency rental and utility assistance for 40-50 resident households per month, applying eligibility criteria and knowledge of eviction risk to triage need and approve or deny applications.
Communicate application decisions to residents and property staff and submit approved applications through FC’s accounting department or Austin Energy’s Plus 1 program.
Collaborate with cross-department staff to evaluate application workflows and improve operational efficiency and accessibility for residents.
