Position Summary
The Program Coordinator is an office-based, non-clinical role responsible for supporting the administrative and operational functions of the Hospice program. This position serves as a key partner to the Director and Clinical Managers, ensuring efficient workflows, coordination of daily activities, and seamless office operations.
Responsibilities include managing calendars and meetings, tracking and compiling data, preparing reports, coordinating office-based volunteers, and maintaining scheduling systems. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Director and management team
Coordinate meetings, calendars, schedules, and office workflows
Prepare reports, track data, and maintain administrative systems
Support and coordinate office-based volunteers
Take meeting minutes and assist with internal communications
Maintain staffing schedules, calendars, and training/inservice tracking
Provide backup support to administrative staff as needed
Assist with onboarding, training, and quality improvement initiatives
Communicate professionally with patients, families, team members, and the public
Contribute to a collaborative, efficient, and high-quality care environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Required:
1 year One year of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical or human services setting.
1 year One year of experience in administrative assistant support role.
1 year One year of experience in maintaining a database.
2 years Experience in an administrative assistant role, preferably in a health care setting.
3 years in healthcare with experience in program/project support or management.
Preferred:
Project experience.
Associate's Degree Or equivalent educ/experience
Bachelor's Degree Business or Health Administration or related field
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
CA, and WA: Preferred within 1 year of hire: Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) or working to obtain CPXP
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The demands of this role require the ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation. This includes regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Visual requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation range: $27.92 - $35.00
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
