The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is known as the leader in setting standards for excellence in gastrointestinal endoscopy and has designed the only national program recognizing quality and safety in the practice of gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Job Summary
The Scheduling and Credentialing Coordinator at the Iowa Digestive Disease Center
is responsible for the coordination and organization of provider schedules and is responsible for the management and oversight of the credentialing process for both payers and hospitals.
Education Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent is required
Experience as an administrative assistant or office assistant is required
Experience with schedule management and credentialing in a medical clinic/office setting is preferred
Skills and Requirements
Knowledge and understands medical terminology, or ability to quickly learn medical terminology
Understands scheduling logistics
Effective and professional communication skills in English - both oral and written - through email, phone, fax and in-person dialogue
Detail oriented
Able to use computer, phone, and other business office equipment
Knowledge of and ability to perform basic office skills
Able to follow written and oral instructions
Able to work independently and productively with minimal supervision
Physical activities require sitting for protracted periods of time
Able to problem solve, make routine judgments, prioritize duties and responsibilities, and quickly respond to changing business needs
Job activities may involve Category III exposure to bloodborne pathogens and minimal exposure to chemical hazards
