Under supervision of program director, plan, organize, evaluate, coordinate, and manage activities for Student and Academic Support.
Job Duties:
Develop and coordinate program activities and long-range educational plans for TRIO Student Support Services, including TRIO Connection Days and the TRIO Scholars Mentoring Program.
Plan, teach, and facilitate Tackling Wicked Problem class and weekly educational sessions.
Coordinate and lead cultural trips and experiences.
Plan, implement, and evaluate mentor training; maintain College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA); and track mentor certification requirements.
Create assessment tools and collect and analyze data to evaluate and improve program effectiveness.
Provide individualized personal, social, career, and academic counseling, including financial literacy; assistance in completing financial aid applications; assist students in applying for graduate school enrollment.
Collaborate with and support the PASS Office staff; maintain familiarity with other functions of PASS.
Attend university orientation sessions, accepted student days, & provide direct liaison with students, educational personnel, & the community regarding department services & support.
Enter program and participation data to database systems for grant-related collection and reporting.
Requirements:
Master's degree, preferably in education or human services, and two years’ experience in counseling and/or related work in planning, organizing and evaluating educational programs or Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience as indicated
Experience working with post-secondary students who are low-income, first generation, and/or students with disabilities.
Experience with program planning, student engagement, and retention
Must be available for some nights and weekends
Strong computer skills (MSOffice).
Administrative ability (data entry, etc…).
Strong human relations and communications skills.
Experience working with TRIO programs
Teaching experience in higher education
Workday experience.
Excellent writing skills.

Compensation Pay Range:
$47,920.00 - $85,410.00
